Information we collect

Information you give us directly

  • Consultation and contact requests — when you book a consultation, reserve a session or use a contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number and the message or details you choose to include.
  • Wellbeing questionnaire — if you complete our questionnaire, we collect your answers so we can suggest the experiences that may suit you. Some answers may relate to how you are feeling physically or emotionally. We only process these answers with your consent, which you give by submitting the questionnaire, and you may withdraw that consent at any time by asking us to delete your responses.
  • Newsletter sign-up — your email address, and your name if you provide it, so we can send you updates about events, workshops and offers.
  • Correspondence — anything you send us by email, phone or through the Site.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs — our hosting provider records standard technical data when you visit the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and the time of your visit. We use this to keep the Site secure and running properly.
  • Cookies — the Site uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to function (for example, remembering your questionnaire progress or a form you have started). If we use analytics tools, these may set additional cookies; you can control cookies through your browser settings. See “Cookies” below.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. Our services are intended for adults.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiries and arrange consultations, sessions, retreats and corporate programmes.
  • To tailor our recommendations to you, where you have completed the questionnaire.
  • To send you our newsletter and information about events and offers, where you have signed up. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.
  • To operate, secure and improve the Site.
  • To keep records we are required to keep by law, such as invoicing and accounting records.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: your consent (questionnaire responses, newsletter); the steps needed to enter into or perform an agreement with you (consultation and session bookings); our legitimate interests in running and securing the Site and responding to enquiries; and compliance with our legal obligations.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Site and our practice, and only to the extent needed for them to do so:

  • Our web hosting provider, which stores the Site and its database.
  • Our email provider, used to send and receive correspondence and newsletters.
  • Any booking or payment service you use to reserve a session, which will process your details under its own privacy policy.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants, where required.
  • Authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

Some of these providers may store data outside the country you live in. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard consistent with this policy.

How long we keep your information

  • Enquiries and consultation requests: for as long as needed to deal with your request and for up to 24 months afterwards, unless you become a client.
  • Client records: for the duration of our relationship and for as long as required afterwards by law or for legitimate business purposes.
  • Questionnaire responses: until you ask us to delete them, or 12 months after they were submitted if you do not become a client.
  • Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.
  • Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, typically no more than a few months.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information, or object to our using it;
  • withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it;
  • receive your information in a portable format;
  • complain to your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at infoaumwellbeing@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. The Site uses:

  • Necessary cookies — required for the Site to work, such as session cookies set by WordPress and cookies that remember your progress in the questionnaire or a form.
  • Analytics cookies — [if applicable: we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site; data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Delete this line if no analytics are in use.]

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies may stop parts of the Site from working.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS, and access to the information we hold is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Links to other websites

The Site may link to websites we do not control, such as partner organisations, booking services or social media. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
